July '98:
| Folk artist Courtney Sands travelled to the
US where she entertained at a reunion. |
| Allison Crowe and her pop/rock band 4:20
Council entertained at the Nanaimo
Bathtub Races. They are also featured performers at the Vancouver
Island Exhibition, August 21-23. |

August '98:
| Three Studio entrants (of 16 finalists) were selected for the
VIEx SongBird Competition, noon August 23 at Beban Park. They were Jennifer
Sharma, Kyla Rawlins, and Allison
Crowe. All performed well, and Allison won
the competition overall! |

September '98:
| Kyla Rawlins got Patsified at the 'Get
Patsified' Patsy Cline look-alike contest held at the Little
Texas Pub. The contest was a promotion for the Theatre
One production A Closer Walk with Patsy Cline. Kyla
put on a powerful rendition of Crazy to tremendous audience
response! |
